You may not have heard of Peter Scully, but once you google his name you will be exposed to the kind of human behavior that could only be described and monstrous.
Currently 55 years old, he fled his native Australia in 2011 to escape being charged with 117 fraud and deception charges. He moved to the island of Mindanao in the Philippines and built up a lucrative pedophile ring that offered pay-per-view video streams of children being tortured and abused on the dark web. For four tortuous years Scully and his girlfriend, Liezyl Margallo, and several other Philippine women preyed on local children, with the abuse ranging from rape and torture to murder. These activities were recorded by Scully.
A movie called Daisy’s Destruction was made by Scully, primarily featuring three victims, a 12 year old, an 11 year old and an 18 month old. The notoriety of this diabolical film was enough to start an international manhunt.
Scully was finally tracked down and arrested in February 2015. He has been charged with 75 offenses. Due to his continuing Australian Australian Citizenship he has been able to get over $500,000 of legal fees paid by Australian tax payers.
There was potential a recently reintroduced death penalty might be applied to him, but amendments to the criteria seem to have removed that possibility.
In October of 2015 a fire broke out in the evidence room containing Scully’s computer logs and videos, destroying key evidence. There is much speculation that he bribed a local police officer to light the fire. There is a possibility with such loss of evidence that he may end up walking free.
Oh, and apparently he has a fairly cushy time where he is currently detained and even continues to run his pedophile ring.
One last thing, in case you were wondering about the victims of Daisy’s Destruction, the 12 year old was found alive, the 18 month old was also found alive, but has permanent injuries and the 11 year old was apparently murdered at a later date, by Scully, on camera.
